Mrs. Kathleen Sokolowski
In Mrs. Sokolowski has been a teacher in the Farmingdale School District since 2001. She has taught 6th grade, 5th/6th grade special education, kindergarten, and now third grade! A graduate of Molloy College and Hofstra University, Mrs. Sokolowski has certification in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Literacy Studies. In addition, Mrs. Sokolowski is the Co-Director for the Long Island Writing Project and has taught graduate courses for teachers through NYSUT's Education Learning Trust program. She is one of the co-authors of The Two Writing Teachers blog, a site to support teachers of writing. In 2016, Mrs. Sokolowski was a recipient of the New York State English Council (NYSEC) Elementary Educator of Excellence. Mrs. Sokolowski is a married mom to two busy children, Alex and Megan.
